WELCOME TO
SADDLERS RIDING CLUB

ABOUT US

Saddlers Riding Club was first established in the 1960's.  Saddlers Riding Club got its name from its Walsall origin, after Walsall Football Clubs nickname and in recognition of the famous Walsall Saddle Makers. The club moved to Burntwood near to the Redmoor Inn during the 1970's and then later to Chorley. Back in the early days, competitors would turn up with their horses and whatever equipment they had to set up jumps and gymkhanas. Famous riders such as Geoff Glazzard and Carl Freeman started out at Saddlers Riding Club and more recently we have seen riders go from learning the ropes to competing at HOYS, Olympia and The Royal International to name a few. We cater for the genuine grassroots competitors and those looking for a fun and supportive environment to enjoy their horses.
